Upgrading to MS SQL Server 7 or later

Before you upgrade your application to work with the DataServer for MS SQL Server, Progress Software Corporation recommends that you follow the instructions from Microsoft to upgrade your Version 6.5 database and then test your application using the DataServer for ODBC. This will allow you to find differences that might exist between the different versions of MS SQL Server.

After you have tested your application with the DataServer for ODBC, you can migrate your application to use with the DataServer for MS SQL Server.
